The Antichrist Empire will be a revived Islamic Empire

Here are some thoughts that I have run into while studying the Holy Bible and asking the Holy Spirit for understanding. I suggest searching the Scriptures and testing this to see if it indeed holds up. I do not claim to be at all thorough on this subject but I do believe that there is something here. Glad to hear feedback.

I remember saying to myself in 2006 that although all false religions are satanic, that satan formed his perfect false religious system in Islam. The whole religion from its beginning breaths a mastermind evil. I am seeing more and more of it in the Scriptures (vast numbers of them in apocalyptic passages) and the news headlines.

(I suggest reading Revelation 17 and Daniel 2 before going forward)

1)Revelation 17 and the final beast empire.

This chapter has put my head in knots countless times but I feel like I understand it now for the most part. The wording is kinda confusing and I usually just skipped over it instead of getting a headache. But it is not as difficult as I once thought.

Revelation 17
9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.”

This is describing the end-time beast and harlot that the Apostle John sees in an open vision. When it talks about seven mountains it is refering to seven empires. Mountains are symbolic for empires throughout the Bible (Jeremiah 51/Daniel 2). The phrase five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come is saying that five of the empires of the vision are no more or deceased, one is currently in power and the next has not yet come into power.

The five that have fallen are all empires that have ruled over Israel politically and have been used as chastisement from God to the nation of Israel. These are a)Egypt, b)Assyria, c)Babylon, d)Persia, and e)Greece. The one that was currently in power at the writing of the book of Revelation was none other than the Roman empire. When talking about the beast empire it says that it is “is not is himself the eighth and is of the seventh”.  By saying that it “is not” means that it cannot possibly be the Roman empire because the Roman empire was currently in power as stated in the previous verse.  It is saying that the Beast empire is going to be like or part of the seventh major empire that has political authority over Israel.  If Rome were the seventh empire, then the passage would be saying that Rome is the sixth, seventh, and eighth empires, which does not make logical sense.  So if the antichrist-empire at the end of the age is going to be part of the seventh empire in a new form, then the question is “What empire was the seventh that ruled over Israel after Rome?”  The answer to that was the Islamic empire of Mohammed and the leaders following him! They ruled from 636-1099 and the Dome of the Rock was built by Caliph Abd el-Malik on the grounds of the destroyed Jewish Temple.

2)Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and Daniel’s statue.

Most prophecy teachers that have taught about the end times, that I know of, have interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s metallic statue as follows:

Head of Gold-Babylonian Empire
Chest and Arms of Silver-Medo Persian Empire
Belly and Thighs of Brass-Grecian Empire
Legs of Iron-Roman empire
Ten toes-Revived form of Roman empire

I agree with the first three but the last two I have my doubts about for a number of reasons.

Daniel 2:40-”And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others.”

What this is telling me is that whatever this empire of iron is, it had to break and crush into pieces all the other empires of the statue before it. The Roman Empire did conquer the western-most edges of these empires, but did not conquer the primary geographic regions of any of these empires. Does this strike anyone as something odd? If Rome did not rule over the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, and Grecian empires then they cannot possibly be the fourth empire or empire of iron and therefore cannot be the revived empire at the end of the age. But if you go a little further into history and look at other empires, there is one that fits this description perfectly; the Islamic empire beginning with Mohammed! This is telling me that it will be a revived Islamic empire in the feet and toes during the second coming of Christ! This sounds just like Revelation 17 to me.

3)The Stone Cut Out Without Hands-Daniel 2:34-35

34 “You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”

In these verses we are told that when Christ returns (the “stone cut out without hands) and establishes His kingdom and crushes the empire of the Antichrist, all three of the previous empires will be crushed as well. If Jesus returned today and crushed the Roman Empire, would Iraq (Babylon) also be crushed in the process? What about Iran (Persia)? Would Afghanistan and Pakistan be crushed? Yet the Bible says that “the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, will be broken to pieces together.” If Jesus crushed the Islamic empire would it also crush all three of these other empires? Yes!
